S&J Plumbing Announced “Plumbing 4 a Cure” in October

Most families have been affected in some way by cancer. For Homer and Stephanie Lowry, owners of S & J Plumbing, they’ve decided to use their family business to make a positive impact in the fight against cancer. S & J has just announced their “Plumbing 4 a Cure” campaign. During October, 10% of all labor costs for their plumbing services will be donated to the Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Cancer research is a cause that is personally important to the Lowrys. Mr. and Mrs. Kolb, Stephanie’s parents and lifelong educators, both passed away from cancer within the last 8 years. “We’ve wanted to do something to honor their memory for a while now,” said Homer. “They were both retired school teachers who had over 35 years of service to the community in Bullitt County. So our October donations will be in their memory. October is such a big awareness month, we decided that it made sense to join in with that effort and possibly help get closer to a cure.”
